Time flies when you're having fun and when you're with the main one you love. While the years pass by, perhaps your anniversaries commence to sneak through to you, with you and your family member seemingly always ending up heading out to dinner again. Or probably the big day comes and goes, and that you do not do anything at all because you are on a tight budget and can't think of something to achieve that is celebratory, memorable, and won't cost a fortune. (Sure, a trip to the wine country sounds perfect; but could it be worth refinancing your property and mortgage to finance this?)
Well, luckily, you may be both romantic and financially smart. Here are 5 inexpensive and exciting new ways to celebrate your anniversary.
1. Just Be Together
Take the afternoon faraway from work, turn fully off the cellular phone, stop checking your email, and just spend some quality time together and save money. Keep it simple and remove yourselves from your busy everyday lives. Celebrate your lifetime together because that is what your anniversary is all about.
2. Match Your Gift with Your Anniversary Year
If that is your fifth anniversary, give five roses. If that is your 10th anniversary, provide a 10-minute massage. Be thoughtful and fun. Make a game out of it, and see who are able to show up most abundant in creative number-themed gift.
3. Give Thoughtful Gifts
For each anniversary year, you will find traditional gifts that you could give. For example, the gift for the very first year is traditionally paper. Consider giving your partner stationery you've customized, a book, a love letter, or anything else related to paper. It doesn't need to be expensive, just thoughtful. There is also a contemporary anniversary gift for every year. Like, for the fourth anniversary, the present day gift is appliances, which is actually a lot cheaper than a pricey bit of technology. If you're thinking about what these gifts are, listed here is a handy listing of traditional and modern anniversary gifts by year.
4. Watch Your Wedding Video
I don't think I have ever watched my wedding video. Honestly, I'm not even sure where it is. But what's the idea of having a movie made if you are not going to view it? Your anniversary is a great opportunity to remember that special day, so take out that wedding DVD and watch highlights together. If you don't have one, perhaps you've a video of a secondary you took or another memorable occasion. Or even, look through your wedding album or pictures that you have got during your years together.
5. Get Crafty
If you should be feeling only a little artsy, go decorate some pottery for every single other (most towns have a DIY pottery studio or two). Or make something together, like a photo album or scrapbook of the previous year's events.
